Celebrating World Music Day with The Jive Aces at Portsmouth Guildhall

The sounds of jazz and boogie-woogie filled the air at Portsmouth Guildhall as The Jive Aces brought an unforgettable afternoon of music and sunshine to over 1600 children and young people from across Portsmouth. This lively event, held in celebration of World Music Day, was a vibrant showcase of inspiration, enthusiasm, and pure musical joy.

The Jive Aces, renowned for their energetic performances and infectious rhythms, did not disappoint. Their upbeat tunes and dynamic stage presence had everyone on their feet, dancing and enjoying the spirit of the day. From Disney's Jungle Book to Nat King Cole's L-O-V-E, there was a song for everyone. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to experience live music in a fantastic venue, and the atmosphere was electric.

"Music has the power to bring people together, and seeing the smiles on the faces of so many children, young people and their teachers is a testament to the joy and inspiration that music can provide."

Sue Beckett, CEO of Portsmouth Music Hub
